The Bush
Every moment of every day we have a choice: connect or disconnect. What we’re doing in that moment is of little consequence. We could be walking or dogs or watching baseball, hanging with our kids or playing a rock show. The amount of connection we have to that moment is everything. It’s painful sometimes to connect, but it’s essential. In fact, the connection keeps us from descending further into suffering, the connection guides us through our obstacles and helps us evolve.
I’m not gonna beat around the bush (heh heh): 2020 was a fucking mess, and 2021 was even worse. There was a lot of bullshit I would rather have disconnected from and ignored, but that wasn’t an option: it never really is. Pretty sure the majority of people had a shitty year and would rather unplug and wait for better days. We also all know, deep down, that it doesn’t work that way. That’s a great way to waste our most precious asset: our time. It’s far worse to waste our time than it is to feel (temporary) pain. If you want to keep suffering, disconnect, if you want to heal, connect deeply. Even if connecting fucking hurts, it will pass.
What you’ll find is that you’re okay, that you can handle the truth. You’ll find you can heal from anything, learn and grow. You’ll see things clearly when you get out of your head. My friends, I wish you a blessed new year. May we all get the fuck out of our heads, connect deeply and see the truth. May all beings be happy and free.
Love,
M
